Preserving the story of Ukraine

History Heard endeavors to continually document first hand accounts of Ukrainians facing Russian aggression.

“We will be defending our country, because our weapon is truth, and this truly is our land. We will defend our country and our children…. and when they attack us, they will see our faces and not our backs. They will see our faces!”

The truths of this war and our history should not be lost to time.

Our two correspondents are currently visiting refugee centers in the United States, Germany and Poland, conducting in-depth interviews with Ukrainian refugees, their social workers, pastors, priests and rabbis, to put a human face on the plight of Ukraine.

If we can bring the truth to the world, then we can always remember the past, and hope for a better future.

In Ukraine itself, thoughtful interviews are taking place particularly with brave clergy and congregants who tirelessly defend the defenseless, with special attention given to widows and orphans.
